Contrary to unfounded and unsubstantiated reports circling various blogs on the internet, WAR EMBLEM continues to perform his duties at Shadai Stallion Stalion in Japan. The Thoroughbred Daily News made a report this day regarding his current status. And, although he is certainly atypical in performance of his duties, representatives from Shadai indicate that they are pleased with his progress and that the stallion is doing well. While his progeny are significantly fewer in numbers than is customary for a stallion of his popularity, his unique approach to breeding (where he selects the mares he will breed rather than the humans selecting for him) seems to be a recipe for success - making him one of the leading 3rd crop sires in 2008. This information is consistent with other trustworthy reports that we have recieved.

Joy Street, by STREET CRY out of Moments of Joy by Lost Code, was taken to Rood & Riddle Saturday afternoon for colic. Early Sunday morning she was sent into surgery where they discovered damage to her intestines was too severe to save her. She was euthanyzed.

SILVER CROWN delivered a colt by CORINTHIAN on Easter Sunday. Both mare and foal are doing well.

Wednesday evening at Nuckols Farm in Midway, KY, We Love Granny delivered a filly by HARD SPUN. Mare and foal are doing well.

Agnostic, by HOME AT LAST out of A Real Sweetheart, broke his maiden going 6 furongs on the 10th race on Hawthorne's card Saturday. While most of the trip he was quite wide, this didn't prevent him from rallying in the turn into the stretch to win by five. He was ridden by Lyndie Wade and trained by Brian Williamson.

This filly by LATENT HEAT out of A Real Sweetheart was euthanyzed to day after being kicked by her mare.

RLR alum All Joking Aside, by RLR alum DISTORTED HUMOR out of RLR alum GRACRIOUS GRANNY, had his 2nd win of the Hawthorne meet in the 6th race on Thursday's card. Run at 6 furlongs on the dirt, the gelding took the lead early and dug in to hold on to win by a nose. He was ridden by B. Meier, trained by Tammy Domenosky and owned by Alan & Beverly Kasdan. RLR Alum,Peace Street broke her maiden in the 5th race at Mountaineer Park on Saturday. After breaking slowly in the 5-1/2 furlong race on the dirt, she was able to edge away in the stretch to win by 2-1/4 lengths. She was ridden by D.A. Early Saturday morning at Nuckols Farm in Midway, KY Sobresaliente delivered her 2nd foal, a chestnut colt by POSSE. Mare and foal reportedly are doing well.

Along with her barn mate, Page Turner delivered in the early morning on Saturday. She foaled a filly by HOME AT LAST. Reportedly mare and foal are doing well.

Mesmerite, by RLR stallion Powerful Goer, won the 2nd race on Hawthorne' card. While running four or five wide for much of his trip, he was able to rally in the stretch to win by a neck. He was ridden by L. Wade, trained by Brian Williamson, owned by Nancy A. Vanier and bred by Mr. & Mrs. Harvey L. Vanier. Congratulations to the connections!!

All Joking Aside, an RLR alum by RLR alum DISTORTED HUMOR out of RLR alum GRACIOUS GRANNY and full brother to current RLR stakes horse LAST GRAN STANDING, won wire to wire in Hawthorne's 7th race on Monday. He took charge from the gate in the 5-1/2 furlong race and finished under a hand ride, winning by 3-1/2 lengths. He was ridden by E.E.
