Evan Tempered Breaks Maiden

RLR bred Evan Tempered (IL) broke his maiden in the fifth race on Mountaineer's card. A Maiden Special Weight race contested at 6f. on the dirt, jockey Jose Davila guided this gelding into a stalking on the rail. At the turn, he moved out, was clear into the upper stretch and won by 4-3/4 lengths in hand. He is trained and owned by Jeffrey Jones. Congratulations to the connections!

Another Animo Winner

Roski, by Reineman Stallions Animo de Valeroso out of RLR alum Halo At Last, broke his maiden in his second start. The 3rd race at Fairmount park was a 6f. MSW dirt race. This colt, bumped at the start, rated in early stages. Coming a bit wide in the turn, jockey Lindell Wells rallied with the colt in the final sixteenth to win by 1-1/2 lengths. The colt is trained by Eddie Essenpreis. And, he was bred in IL and owned by Shellye Essenpreis. Congratulations to the connections!

Roman Invader 2 for 2 in 2012

RLR bred Roman Invader won the 10th race on Arlington's Saturday card. Well-placed by jockey F. Geroux in the second flight of horses for the 1-1/16 turf race, they pair made their move in the upper stretch to cross the wire in time for the victory. This mare is trained by Doug Mathews and owned by John Conforti. Congratulations to the connections.

HE'S BONAFIDE Wins First Start of 2012

HE'S BONAFIDE by Reineman stallion Animo de Valeroso won his first start of the year in Arlington's 3rd race Saturday. The race was run at 1-1/8 over the all-weather surface. Under the handling of jockey Francisco Torres, the six-year old gelding led the field for the entire race. Asked by his jockey in the upper stretch, the gelding answered and crossed the wire 2 lengths ahead of his nearest competitor. He was bred in IL by Hugh Robertson, who is also his trainer. He is owned by Hugh Robertson and Ray Fisher. Congratulations to the connections.

Miami Cat Makes It Two in a Row

Miami Cat, by Reineman stallion Powerful Goer, won his allowance condition in his next start after breaking his maiden. In wire to wire fashion, F. Jara guided the gelding to a 6-3/4 length victiory in the 1 mile dirt race at Calder. The horse was bred and trained by Phil Gleaves and is owned by Phil Gleaves, Bruce Hollander and Cary Shapoff. Congratulations to the connections!

I'll Have Another Takes G1 Kentucky Derby

I'LL HAVE ANOTHER runs down Bodemeister in the G1 Kentucky Derby. The colt was well positioned early, began moving in the turn and ran down the leader in the final sixteenth for a thrilling conclusion to the competition. He was ridden by Mario Gutierrez, trained by Doug O'Neill, owned by Reddam Racing LLC and bred by Harvey Clarke. This victory represnets a first for the connections and the colt's sire FLOWER ALLEY, a son of DISTORTED HUMOR.

Funny Proposition Wins in Return to Churchill

RLR bred Funny Proposition won the 4th race on Churchill's Oaks Day card. The AOC was contested at 1-1/16 over the dirt course. Despite rearing up in the gate immediately prior to breaking, the filly composed herself and under the handling of J.R. Velazquez found a stalking position. At the head of the stretch she moved into contention, shook loose a rival and won by 2-1/2 lengths. She is trained by Mark Casse and owned by John C. Oxley. Congratlutations to the connections!

A Real Sweetheart - Last Foal of the Season

A Real Sweetheart delivered a filly by OFFLEE WILD. Mare and foal, reportedly, are doing well. This conlcudes the foaling season for this stable.
